Consider buying the Clymer manual. You'll use it more than you think and you can pick one up for $20 on eBay.
I offer some oil change tips you may want to consider at my website listed below. Go to: Tips & How-Tos ---> Tips & Tricks. Then scroll down.
Change the oil every 1000-2000k or 3 months, whichever comes first. It's the best thing you can do for your bike.
